Six tools can put AI meeting notes into Salesforce without a rep touching the CRM. Notta is our top pick for most teams: it connects to Salesforce on its Business plan at $16.67 per user a month (billed annually), covers the widest CRM range of any tool we looked at, and bundles an AI sales agent on the same plan. Gong writes the deepest Salesforce record of any tool we looked at, linking each conversation to the account, opportunity, contact and lead — but it is quote-only and priced for enterprise revenue-intelligence deployments. Avoma saves notes to Salesforce records automatically from its $19 Startup plan, and Fathom syncs to Salesforce even on its free plan for up to 3 users per email domain. If you need opportunity fields filled in rather than a note attached, look at Fathom Business ($25) or Avoma with its Revenue Intelligence add-on. This guide separates "logs a summary on the record" from "updates opportunity fields", shows which plan unlocks each sync, and explains how each tool matches a call to the right Salesforce record.

01 — Best overall Salesforce sync for most teams

Notta

PriceBusiness: $16.67 per user a month, billed annually ($199.99 a year)

Notta connects to Salesforce on its Business and Enterprise plans and covers the widest CRM range in this list — HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Zendesk Sell, Salesflare and Freshsales alongside Salesforce — which matters if your organisation has not standardised on one CRM. The same Business plan includes Notta's AI sales agent, so meeting notes in Salesforce and AI-assisted sales follow-up arrive on one low per-seat price; Avoma charges $29 a month extra for its Revenue Intelligence module. Notta's support documentation describes sending transcripts to Salesforce, so confirm in a trial whether sync runs automatically or per recording.

Choose it if: You want Salesforce sync and AI sales features on a single affordable plan, or your team works across several CRMs and wants one tool that connects to all of them.

02 — Best for enterprise deal intelligence in Salesforce

Gong

PricePer-user licence plus platform fee: Not published (quote only)

Gong creates a conversation record for every call and links it to the account, opportunity, contact and lead in Salesforce. Activity records are optional, a dedicated integration user handles the export, and admins can filter which calls are exported. No other tool in this list writes as much structured deal context into Salesforce.

Choose it if: You run revenue intelligence across a full sales team at enterprise scale, want the deepest possible Salesforce record, and budget is not the deciding factor.

03 — Best value for automatic Salesforce notes

Avoma

PriceStartup: $19 per recorder seat a month, billed annually ($29 monthly)

Avoma's entry Startup plan includes Auto Save Notes to CRM Records, so notes land on Salesforce records without a manual step — the cheapest published plan with a documented automatic sync. Two-way field updates need the Revenue Intelligence add-on (+$29 annual / $35 monthly per seat).

Choose it if: You want notes on Salesforce records automatically from the cheapest possible published plan, and field updates are a later upgrade.

04 — Best free Salesforce sync

Fathom

PriceFree (up to 3 users per email domain); field sync on Business: Free $0; Team $15 annual / $19 monthly; Business $25 annual / $34 monthly

Fathom's free plan includes CRM sync to HubSpot, Salesforce and Close for up to 3 users per email domain — the only free native Salesforce sync we found. Business adds CRM field sync that updates records after meetings automatically, plus Deal View and coaching metrics.

Choose it if: You are an individual rep or a team of up to three who wants notes in Salesforce at no cost, and you can move to Business for field sync later.

05 — Best for low-cost team rollout

Fireflies.ai

PricePro: $10 annual / $18 monthly per seat

Fireflies logs notes to Notes & Attachments on contacts, leads and open opportunities, and matches calls to records using the calendar invite email. Pro includes unlimited integrations, so Salesforce does not cost extra per connector. Closed opportunities are skipped.

Choose it if: You need cheap per-seat pricing for a large team and note-level logging is enough.

06 — Best if you want it inside Salesforce

Salesforce Einstein Conversation Insights

PriceConversation Insights: $50 per user a month, billed annually; included in Sales Cloud Unlimited

Salesforce's own product puts call insights, transcripts and collections inside the CRM, with no third-party connection to manage. In February 2026 Salesforce acquired Momentum to pull Zoom and Google Meet conversations into Agentforce.

Choose it if: Your team lives in Salesforce, wants a first-party option, and does not need notes in any other CRM.

How we chose

We built this guide from vendor pricing pages, help documentation and integration guides checked on 29 October 2026, plus competitor feature-matrix research (checked 2 September 2026) and integration-marketplace testing, which scored Otter.ai 2/5, Fireflies 4/5, Fathom 3/5, tl;dv 5/5, Read AI 3/5 and MeetGeek 4/5 for integration coverage. For each tool we recorded which plan unlocks Salesforce on the vendor's pricing page, what object the note lands on according to the vendor's help documentation, and whether field mapping is supported. Where a behaviour could not be verified from vendor documentation, we say so in the text.

What does "sync to Salesforce" actually mean?

There are three levels of Salesforce sync, and tools at different prices sit at different levels. A summary attached as a Note or Task, an Activity logged on the record, and fields written on the opportunity.

LevelWhat lands in SalesforceWhat it is good for
1. Attached noteA summary or transcript attached as a Note or Task on a contact, lead or opportunityProof the call happened; searchable context
2. Logged activityAn Activity record on the account or opportunity timelineRoll-up reporting and rep activity tracking
3. Field updatesValues written into opportunity fields such as Next StepPipeline hygiene without manual data entry

Most tools in this list do level 1 on their entry plans. Levels 2 and 3 are where pricing jumps: Fathom gates field sync behind Business ($25), Avoma behind its Revenue Intelligence add-on, and Gong builds its whole product around it. Fireflies' help documentation describes attaching notes to Notes & Attachments with options for open opportunities; Gong's integration guide describes conversation records linked to accounts, opportunities, contacts and leads with optional activity records; Avoma documents auto-saving notes to CRM records. When a vendor says "Salesforce integration", check which of the three levels it means before comparing prices.

Which AI note takers write call notes into Salesforce natively?

Native means the tool writes to Salesforce through its own connector rather than through Zapier. All six picks below are native.

ToolLowest plan with SalesforcePrice (USD, per seat)Where it landsField mapping
NottaBusiness$16.67/mo annualTranscripts and notes sent to Salesforce recordsNot documented
GongLicence + platform feeQuote onlyConversation record linked to account, opportunity, contact, leadYes
AvomaStartup$19/mo annual, $29 monthlyNotes auto-saved to CRM recordsYes, with Revenue Intelligence add-on
FathomFree (3 users per domain)$0; Business $25/mo annualNote on the record; fields on BusinessYes, on Business
Fireflies.aiPro$10/mo annual, $18 monthlyNotes & Attachments on contacts, leads, open opportunitiesNo
Einstein Conversation InsightsCI licence$50/user/mo annualNative inside SalesforceYes

Notta's connector is available on Business and Enterprise, and the same plan covers six other CRMs, which makes it a strong option for teams that have not standardised on Salesforce alone. Its support article describes sending transcripts to Salesforce, so run a trial to confirm whether sync is automatic or per recording. One more caveat that applies across the category: some tools only sync calls their own meeting bot recorded — if your team prefers bot-free capture, read our guide to meeting bots versus bot-free note takers for sales before committing.

Which tools update opportunity fields, not just attach a note?

Four options in this guide write to opportunity fields. Gong links conversation records to opportunities and can write activity records. Fathom Business includes CRM field sync that updates records after meetings automatically. Avoma's Revenue Intelligence add-on does two-way field updates. tl;dv, in also-considered, maps standard and custom fields one-way on Pro and above.

Notta, Fireflies and Otter.ai attach notes and transcripts to records rather than writing mapped fields, according to their documentation. That still puts the full, searchable conversation context on the record where reps and managers can find it, and in Notta's case the same Business plan pairs the Salesforce connection with an AI sales agent that drafts follow-up from the meeting — pipeline support that does not depend on field mapping. But if keeping Next Step and forecast fields current without rep data entry is the specific goal, budget for Fathom Business ($25) or Avoma plus Revenue Intelligence, or talk to Gong. If attached notes plus AI-assisted follow-up are enough, Notta's Business plan at $16.67 is the cheapest published per-seat option here that includes both.

How does the note find the right Salesforce record?

Most tools match the call to a record using attendee emails on the calendar invite. Fireflies matches by invite email and can be set to log only to existing contacts and leads; tl;dv works the same way. If the prospect has no contact record, the note may be skipped or held — Fireflies ignores closed opportunities, and Fathom's admin guide says the same. Behaviour with unknown attendees varies across tools: some skip the sync, some create a lead, some hold the note for review.

If your team meets new prospects constantly, check what happens to an unknown attendee before rolling out — a sync that silently skips new prospects defeats the purpose. A quick test in a Salesforce Developer Edition org with a dummy invitee will show you exactly what each tool does.

What about Salesforce's own option?

Einstein Conversation Insights costs $50 per user a month, billed annually, and is included in Sales Cloud Unlimited. It puts transcripts, call insights and collections inside Salesforce with no third-party connector to manage. In February 2026 Salesforce acquired Momentum to pull Zoom and Google Meet conversations into Agentforce, which signals where its meeting intelligence is heading.

It is aimed at Salesforce-first teams that want no external vendor. Teams that also need notes in other CRMs, or that want AI sales features without conversation-intelligence pricing, will still do better with a third-party tool — Notta covers seven CRMs including Salesforce on one Business plan, and Fathom and Fireflies both undercut the $50 per-seat price.

What about phone calls made from a dialer?

Dialer-based Salesforce call recording — Aircall, Dialpad, Kixie and Salesforce's own Sales Dialer — records and logs phone calls natively, storing recordings through Salesforce's VoiceCallRecording object. Meeting note takers mostly cover video calls from Zoom, Google Meet and Teams. If your reps work the phone, see our guide to recording and transcribing sales calls on mobile for that workflow.

What does Salesforce sync cost per rep?

ToolAnnual per seatMonthly per seatContract note
Notta$16.67—Billed as $199.99 a year; includes AI sales agent
FathomFree–$25$0–$34Free sync capped at 3 users per email domain
Fireflies.ai$10$18Unlimited integrations from Pro
Avoma$19$29Field updates +$29 annual / $35 monthly
Einstein Conversation Insights$50—Annual contract
GongQuote onlyQuote onlyAnnual contract, platform fee

The cheapest automatic note sync with a published price is Avoma's Startup plan at $19 a seat. Fathom's free tier covers up to three users per email domain at no cost. Notta's Business plan at $16.67 is the lowest published per-seat price in this list that also includes an AI sales agent, though its documentation describes a Send step for transcripts, so confirm the workflow in a trial. Gong and Einstein Conversation Insights are annual contracts, and Gong adds a platform fee on top of per-user licences.

Frequently asked questions

Does Notta sync to Salesforce?

Yes. Notta connects to Salesforce on its Business and Enterprise plans, at $16.67 per user a month billed annually. The same plan covers HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Zendesk Sell, Salesflare and Freshsales, and includes Notta's AI sales agent. Notta's support article describes sending transcripts to Salesforce; confirm in a trial whether sync runs automatically or per recording.

Does Fathom's free plan sync to Salesforce?

Yes. Fathom's free plan includes CRM sync to HubSpot, Salesforce and Close for up to 3 users per email domain. CRM field sync, which updates opportunity records automatically, requires the Business plan at $25 a month billed annually. Notta's Salesforce connector, by comparison, starts on its Business plan at $16.67 per user a month and covers six other CRMs on the same plan.

Can Otter.ai send notes to Salesforce?

Yes, from the Pro plan ($8.33 annual / $16.99 monthly), but the integration is subject to user limits that vary by plan. Open the integration screen and record the actual limit for your plan before rolling out to a team.

Does Granola integrate with Salesforce?

Not natively as far as its documentation shows — Granola lists HubSpot, Attio and Affinity. Third-party pages say Salesforce needs Zapier, but this is unverified.

Do I need a Salesforce admin to connect an AI note taker?

Usually yes for anything beyond a personal connection. Field mapping, permissions, and which records notes attach to are admin-level settings, and tools like Gong recommend a dedicated integration user. Notta's Salesforce connector is available on its Business and Enterprise plans, and its support article describes sending transcripts to Salesforce records.

Will an AI note taker create new leads in Salesforce for unknown attendees?

It depends on the tool. Some skip the sync, some create a lead, and some hold the note for review. Fireflies, for example, can be set to log only to existing contacts and leads. Test with an unknown attendee before rollout.
